Samples for all Illumina applications, whole genome sequencing and re-sequencing, digital gene expression - tag profiling, small RNA discovery and analysis, and ChIP-sequencing, must be on dry ice for delivery to the MGS facility. Delivery must be to the following courier address:
Massey Genome Service
Allan Wilson Centre
Massey University
Science Tower D, level 3, Room D3.15A
Riddett Road
Palmerston North
New Zealand
For re-sequencing you must supply with your sample a copy of the genomic reference sequence for alignment in FASTA format on a CD or DVD. Please see Reference Sequence Requirements for further details. This CD or DVD can be sent with your sample/s.
In most cases, results can be sent back to customers on DVD. If you choose to have your results delivered by customer-supplied portable hard disk (PHD) instead, you should supply the PHD with your sample/s. In this case, please ensure the PHD is clearly labelled with your username and a unique name or code to ensure that it can be accurately identified. Note that it is not normally necessary to use PHDs to transfer results; see the data management policy for more information.
The MGS has specific sample preparation requirements for each application. Please refer to Applications for sample preparation requirements.
